the Tennessee State Library and
Archives is providing access to
several important collections of
Tennessee records. Included are
death certificates, birth records,
a collection of Tennessee Land
Grants and a collection of early
Tennessee tax lists. They are
accessible to everyone in
Tennessee with the creation of
a free guest account.                                

Provides an easy, one-stop 
resource for genealogists and
researchers to find out about 
local archives in our state. On
the website, click the county
on the map to locate local
archives within the county,
or use the drop-down menu
to find an archive by county

The Tennessee Genealogical
Society is a non-profit, tax-
exempt organization,
completely staffed by
volunteers. Located in
Germantown, it is adjacent
to the Germantown Regional
History and Genealogy Center
(GRHGC).

Collections consist of non-
circulating,research-level
collections of books,ephemera,
microfilm, computer-based
files, periodicals, photographs,
maps and vertical files on the
cultural, architectural, genea-
logical and historicalheritage
of the South, with emphasis
on the Mid-South, Eastern
and Southern states. Some
records may be available
in multiple formats.
