First Lady's Statewide Summer Reading Competition!

Statewide Summer Reading Competition optGet kids excited about reading this summer with First Lady Crissy Haslam's Read to be Ready Summer Reading Competition, a challenge to read the most number of minutes over summer break! All Tennessee children, from rising Kindergartners to rising 4th Grade students, are eligible to track their number of minutes read from June 1 to July 28 to compete for Tennessee's Top 100 Summer Readers. The top 100 readers will be invited to celebrate with a Kids State Dinner at the Tennessee Residence in Nashville on Friday, August 18. Join the Teen Advisory Board!

TAB application optThe Collierville Burch Library’s Teen Advisory Board is an advisory group made up of no more than 16 teens in grades 6-12 who meet regularly with the Young Adult Library Associate to discuss books, to plan library programs, to give input on library issues related to teens, and to assist in selecting materials for the Young Adult collection. To apply for the 2017-2018 Teen Advisory Board, click here. Applications must be received by August 1, 2017.

Get Ready to Build a Better World this summer! Summer Reading sign-up begins Tuesday, May 30th and runs through Friday, July 28th. 

Children and Teens can sign up for the Summer Reading program & receive prizes based on the number of hours you have read.

Adults can read or listen to any fiction or nonfiction book, magazine, or newspaper. When you visit the library, fill out an entry form for each item you read and turn it in at the Information Desk.

Special Events - We have lots of special events planned for this summer including the ever-popular PAWS for Reading, Magician Scott Humston, a Jedi Experience, and much more! Many of these programs have limited seating and require pre-registration. Click here for downloadable flyer listing all of our special Summer Reading Events for children.

Storytimes - Regular storytimes will take place on Wednesdays at 10:30 for ages 3 - 5 and Thursdays at 10:30 for ages 2 and under.

History and science are incorporated in this presentation meant to inspire use of the three R's: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
