The Dixon Gallery will be presenting an 'Art To Grow' class based on the abstract works of Will Henry Stevens on Thursday, December 28th 11:00-11:45am.
Participants will learn about Stevens' life, artistic practice, and style. Using his work as inspiration, students will create their own abstract paintings using mathematical tools. They will experiment with compasses, protractors, and rulers to create lines and shapes on paper. After creating their abstract design, students will trace over lines with a Sharpie. They will use watercolor pencils, paintbrushes, and water to add color to their works.
This class is for ages 8-11. Class is limited to 30 children. Registration opens Mon, Dec 11th. Register on the Library's Events Calendar.
