Veterans Center to Bring Mobile Counseling Services to Collierville Library
The Veteran Community Outreach is a way of saying “thank you for your service” and following it up with tangible solutions to problems often faced by veterans. The Mobile Vet Center will be on site and will provide private counseling for post-traumatic stress issues, military sexual trauma, marriage and family counseling, and information on VA benefits. Veterans should bring a copy of their DD214 (discharge paper) with them to the outreach. The Mobile Vet Center also serves as a part of the VA emergency response program.
The Highway for Heroes mobile Department of Motor Vehicles bus will also be available for onsite driver’s license renewals and replacements, and for identification services. They will also provide testing information for obtaining a Tennessee Commercial Driver License (CDL).
Veterans, their families and friends, and anyone else who is interested are all welcome to come to the outreach and learn more about the Memphis Vet Center, aka the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Veterans, please remember to bring a copy of your DD214 (discharge paper) to assist in determining eligibility for services.
Questions? Call Frederick Smith or Denesse Torpoco of the Memphis Vet Center at (901) 522-3950. The Collierville Burch Library is located at 501 Poplar View Parkway.
